Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)

K&N EFTHYMIADIS SINGLE MEMBER S.A. is proud to announce it has been granted Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) - customs simplification (AEOC) / security and safety (AEOS ) status from the Greek Customs General Directorate, commencing from the 1st of June 2020.

By complementing its already accredited managerial systems for Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, and IT Security with the necessary procedures and amendments, the company succeeded in complying with the strictest Union Customs Code (UCC) evaluation criteria.

The AEO concept is based on the Customs-to-Business partnership introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO). Within this framework, traders who voluntarily meet a pre-defined range of criteria work in close cooperation with the local Customs Authorities in order to ensure the common objective of supply chain transparentness for a wide range of commercial transactions within the EU and worldwide.

The recognition of K&N EFTHYMIADIS SINGLE MEMBER S.A. as a secure business partner, through a structured cooperation with Customs and other government authorities, means improved planning, more accurate shipments, lower inspection costs and a wide range of additional 3PL services to be offered, all for the benefit of our business partners, current and potential.

Along with all the necessary quality certifications, modern machinery and experienced personnel, this certificate facilitates trouble - free transactions, saves valuable time and cuts costs for all parties involved.

This partnership requires the continuous cooperation between the AEO and the Customs Authorities and is based on the same principles of mutual trust, transactional correctness and corporate responsibility which we already share with all our partners, suppliers and customers.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the AEO accreditation is based on the principal of mutual recognition, where two customs administrations agree to reciprocally recognize the AEO authorizations of each other and provide common treatment and possibilities to all.

The EU has already concluded and implemented Mutual Recognition of AEO programs with Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Andorra, the U.S. and China.
