PRESS RELEASE - Celebration event of K&N EFTHYMIADIS and CERTIS BELCHIM - 2/20/2025

On 20.02.2025, at a festive event held in Thessaloniki at the Macedonia Palace Hotel, in the presence of guests from the broader agri-food sector throughout Greece, the significant expansion of the strategic cooperation between the Efthymiadis Agrotechnology Group and the Japanese Mitsui Group, through its subsidiary Certis Belchim B.V., was officially announced.

As part of this strategic cooperation, Certis Belchim acquires a 30% stake in K&N Efthymiadis SA (K&NE), the largest Greek plant protection and agricultural supplies company. The commercial cooperation between the two parties is historic and long-standing, and the entry of the Mitsui group into the share capital of K&NE is not only a vote of confidence from an international giant, but also a guarantee that the Greek company will continue to have access to new, high-value-added plant protection and nutrition products for many years to come.

At the same time, to further strengthen their presence in the Balkan market, a new joint venture was created between the companies under the name KCB Agriscience B.V. The new company, in which Certis Belchim and Efthymiadis Group have a 70% and 30% stake respectively, is already active in the main Balkan countries, such as Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Moldova and Albania, and aspires to establish itself as one of the leaders in the wider region in this sector.

Both Certis Belchim and Efthymiadis Agrotechnology Group, as established companies in the agricultural sector, are committed to continuing to lead agricultural developments and promote sustainable development, both in Greece and in the wider Balkan region, offering holistic, cutting-edge solutions to farmers in these markets, through innovative products and services.​
